Approximate duration: 2 hours
Schedule: 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM y 2 PM

On the tour visitors will learn about coffee, how coffee is grown, the cultivation on our plantation with a history of more than 130 years that dates from the first growers in 1870 including a visit to the coffee seedlings and follow the valley where the plantation is found. While enjoying a home grown cup of coffee, additionally you will see a documentary video on the coffee cultivation in Guatemala.
As you go through the wet and dry mills, the area where the coffee is sun dried on patios and the area where the coffee is hand sorted you will appreciate the labor that goes into the production. Later you will be taken through the coffee roasting process and packing area, ending the tour at the laboratory where coffee is tasted. Our tour finalizes with a cup of the best gourmet coffee  produced on Finca Filadelfia, Genuine Antigua prepared to your liking either American or espresso coffee.

Texan Mule Rides:  $13.00 - $21.00 - $35.00 / (IN QUETZALES ASK FOR THE EXCHANGE RATE AT THE CASHIER)

Our activities offer the possibility of a Texan mule ride through a natural and secure atmosphere, through mountainous trails where there are more than 100 species of birds among the coffee plantation and forest around Finca Filadelfia.

The two hour ride takes you to a vantage point where you will be able to appreciate the town of Antigua Guatemala, San Juan El Obispo, San Felipe de Jesus, Ciudad Vieja and other villages.

You can experience a one hour ride, on an entertaining route on La Alameda Doña Elisa and the trails between the coffee bushes and the trees that shade the product, the Gravilea. You arrive at a site known as La Mina where years ago gold was searched for unsuccessfully.

For those that do not have too much time, we offer a relaxing half hour ride that goes through the coffee plantation of the valley so you can appreciate the shade forest, the  birds and all the beauty of the surrounding area.

All tours finalize tasting an excellent cup of coffee, Filadelfia Genuine Antigua Coffee prepared to your taste, either American or espresso coffee.

Mirador Monte de Los Olivos Tour:  $20.00  (IN QUETZALES ASK FOR THE EXCHANGE RATE AT THE CASHIER)

Approximate duration: 40 minutes
Schedule: any hour from 9:00 A.M. onwards with a prior reservation.

This outing is experienced on a Unimog vehicle conditioned for transporting tourists. You will drive  through Alameda de Doña Elisa going towards the Montaña Escondida and the natural surroundings of coffee trees and forest. The highlight of this tour is the vantage point that allows you to see the olive trees, imported from the USA and cultivated at Finca Filadelfia, the fresh and natural atmosphere of this mountain, coupled with the breath taking views at 6,100 feet where you can appreciate San Felipe de Jesús, la Antigua Guatemala and Ciudad Vieja.

Tour of the Mountain to a Tropical Wet Forest and a Tropical Humid Forest: $50.00 (IN QUETZALES ASK FOR THE EXCHANGE RATE AT THE CASHIER)

Approximate duration:  3 hours
Schedule: any hour from 9:00 A.M. onwards with a prior reservation. Tour includes a box lunch and cup of coffee.

This tour starts from la Alameda Doña Elisa towards La Mina, continuing on up through the coffee plantation, passing through a sector known as El Mirador de La Cúpula at 6,200 feet high. The tour continues until you reach the highest point of Finca Filadelfia, the Tropical Cloudy Forest, situated at 8,100 feet. From there on, on ample stone trails initiate the descent among the dense vegetation of the natural forest where oak prevail and you can appreciate fern trees. At this point in the distance you can sight cedar, pine, guava, guachipilin and many other trees. You can also sight many varieties of birds as Bushy-creasted Jay, endemics Warblers, Sparrows, Blue-trhoated Motmot, Red- tailed Hawk, Trushes, Doves, Woodpeckers, Hummingbirds, Swallows to name a few. The fresh and clean atmosphere makes this an extraordinary experience for nature lovers. The tour concludes on the Pergola de La Montaña, another unique spot to enjoy the sights and rest at 7,200 feet.

Bird Watching Tour:   US$50.00 (IN QUETZALES ASK FOR THE EXCHANGE RATE AT THE CASHIER)

Approximate duration:  3 hours
Schedule: Bird Watchers are recommended to start off at 5:30 AM or 4 PM. Both schedules require a previous reservation.

The vegetative characteristics of Finca Filadelfia have been divided in shade coffee (1590 a 1970 mts ) pine and oak (1970 to 2270 mts) and the cloud forest (2270 to 2460 mts). The pine and oak is named Tropical Damp forest.  The highest is known as a Tropical Humid Forest and it is here that you will commence your decent with wide cobble stone paths, between the dense vegetation of this natural forest where the avocado and oak predominate.  From this vantage point you will sight a myriad of birds. Descending further the most visible trees are cypress and oak. There you can observe Bushy-creasted and Steller´s Jay,Trogons, endemics Warblers, Sparrows, Blue-trhoated Motmot, Red- tailed Hawk, Trushes, Doves, Woodpeckers, Hummingbirds, Swallows, Vultures to name a few.
The pure and natural atmosphere make this tour an extraordinary experience for bird watchers, where more than 109 species of birds have been sighted and about 45 species while the tour lasts. The tour concludes in the lower part of the Humid Tropical Forest.

Professional Cupping Session:­­ $25.00 (IN QUETZALES ASK FOR THE EXCHANGE RATE AT THE CASHIER)

Approximate duration:  2 hours
Schedule: Saturday 9 AM, available only with a previous reservation.

This session is ideal for those coffee lovers who wish to learn about coffee and widen their knowledge on aromatic cupping. This activity takes place in the Finca Filadelfia`s cupping laboratory which is fully equipped so that participants may learn about the generalities of classifying coffee, the roasting process, preparation and cupping of coffee. Learn about the profile of coffee and on the bean characteristics such as fragrance, aroma, acidity and the aftertaste.
